La Charrette

Art Direction, Visual Identity

As part of a team at District 3, I contributed to the planning and execution of La Charrette, an event designed to bring together the fine arts and engineering faculties to learn about and contribute to the evolving creative field in Montreal. I lead the art direction, establishing the visual identity of the event and standardizing the treatment of the final graphic assets. The final identity of this first edition of the event was based on an original series of scanographic images.

Collaboration with Diana Horqque, Ashley Lo Russo, and Natalya Merrison.

Country Food

Art Direction, Publication Design

For this limited publication, artists Barry Pottle and Adina Tarralik Duffy generously allowed their work to be featured. Pottle is an Inuk photographer whose Foodland Security series captures the difficulties of maintaining security of traditional foods for urban-bound Inuit people. This double booklet series showcases Duffy’s stories that illustrate the author’s relationship with food and family. Unfolding each booklet reveals a large format monochromatic photo from Pottle’s series.

Proceeds from the sale of these booklets were donated to the Inuit Collective Kitchen of Chez Doris.

Hey!
I'm Lindsey,
with an e.

I'm a designer, writer, and maker. I'm fascinated by the limitless ways we tell stories, to each other and ourselves. I'm interested in how print-based media, the web, and other technologies are pushing each other to evolve and the ways we tell these stories.
